The Pediatric Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED is an instructor/video led course providing daycare workers, coaches, teachers, or any individual working closely with children the skills to recognize and react in the event of an emergency situation. Participants will not only be taught the skills to provide basic first aid assistance for infants and children of all ages but will also be capable of delivering effective high quality compressions and ventilations for a potential victim. Appropriate use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) will also be reviewed. A 2 year American Heart Association card will be awarded upon successful course completion. This course is approved by the PA Keys program.

Courses

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed for anyone who may have potential contact or exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The course is structured and taught around the "PACT" (Protect, Act, Clean,Tell) acronym helping participants utilize the skills presented during the course. An American Heart Association certificate will be awarded upon successful course completion.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens

The Heartsaver CPR/AED is an instructor/video led course providing the non health care worker the skills to recognize and react in the event of an emergency situation. Participants will learn to deliver high quality compressions and ventilations for a potential victim. Appropriate use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) will also be reviewed. A 2 year American Heart Association card will be awarded upon successful course completion.

Friends and Family

Basic Life Support (BLS) is an instructor/video lead course designed for the Healthcare Provider. The course highlights the multiple steps necessary for successful single and multiple rescuer CPR. Participates will be able to recognize and anticipate emergent situations. Additionally, assurance of appropriate high quality compressions and ventilations will be reviewed as well as the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). A 2 year American Heart Association card will be awarded upon successful course completion.

The Friends and Family course is designed for students, babysitters, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or anyone else who may wish to learn CPR but does not require a completion card for employment purposes. Participants will receive an American Heart Association reference booklet for the material covered during the course. The skills reviewed in this course could help save the life an infant, child, or adult. Appropriate use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) will also be reviewed.
